Fondazione Genoa 1893 ETS
It was established to preserve, celebrate and pass on the history, values and identity of Genoa Cricket and Football Club.
It is a participatory foundation: members contribute in accordance with its Statutes and take part in appointing its governing bodies.
At its inception, it received an initial cash endowment and a shareholding in Genoa, subsequently transferred back, providing essential resources for the continuity of the Foundation and the Museum.
The Foundation’s aims
Heritage conservation: collecting, cataloguing, restoring and digitising historical material relating to Genoa (documents, photographs and memorabilia), and managing the Historical Archive and Genoa Museum.
Cultural promotion: supporting cultural, publishing and research activities on the history of Genoa and Italian football.
Identity and community: developing a sense of belonging among supporters and promoting the Club’s history as a social and cultural asset.
Sporting education: promoting youth and amateur football, teaching the values of fairness, sportsmanship and respect.
